So, what am I doing?

So, where am I with this thing?

I guess I'll start at the beginning. The process started in the summer of 2015. I had a brilliant idea for a new product (lets call it Project Zero). I got super excited and then spent about 3 months designing and developing the first prototype. As usual, it was awesome to see it come to reality and be able to hold it in my hands. At the end of the process, after the refinement phase I came to a crucial realization: I can't release it. I won't go into the details for now. It's sitting in my work space right now, staring at me every day.

Anyway - where are we. Since “Project Zero” had to be put on hold, I’ve shifted my focus to other areas. I had an itch to create new stuff and I had to scratch it. Figuring out what to do next was a bitter challenge. It all depends on how you look at it, but at a point where you can create absolutely any type of product, the possibilities are endless. So I set about picking a few areas that continue to interest me and started moving forward along.

It started just as one project. With time however, the one project has morphed into several. This went against any kind of previous logic for me. Running and developing several projects at once? Why do this? Why split up the focus? Several reasons actually:

- It allows me to flex my mental muscle
- The exploration is leading me to new solutions and new areas
- It allows me to get in contact with new venues of manufacturing that I didn't consider before
- It ensures that if I do hit a roadblock with one of the projects (like Project Zero), I can continue with the other(s)

So, where am I with this thing? Still very much in the beginning. But instead of pulling on a single thread, I'm now pulling on several. Should be interesting to see how this story unravels.
