“We will go to the moon and do the other thing. Not because it is easy, but because it is hard.” - JFK
How do you galvanize a nation to do the impossible? You state your goal clearly. You state it in a way that inspires people and you attribute the appropriate resources to make that goal happen.
Brutal clarity gives you the ability to deliver the unthinkable. It’s brutal, because its finite. Because, there’s nothing left but to execute. No vagueness. No interpretation. No fog. No time wasted. Clarity is what you need when you start… and when you get going. When you’re a leader, its your job to be brutally clear. You’re the guy with binoculars who sees things before everyone else. You’re the guy with the vision. You’re the guy (or gal) who leads.
Be brutally clear, or prepare for meandering, wasted time and resources.
